Storr Will Feel at Home Tonight

Share

Goaltender Jamie Storr will make his first home start of the season tonight when the Kings play Phoenix at the Forum. Storr, who won his first game of the season last week with a 1-0 shutout at Chicago, says he is more relaxed now after playing sporadically in 15 games over his first three seasons.

“I’m not as nervous, like I was before when [the Kings kept] three goaltenders,” said Storr, who will start in place of flu-ridden Stephane Fiset. “I’m just trying now to work as hard as I can. I have more confidence and I feel part of the team.”

Storr, 21, still is considered a rookie because he hasn’t played in enough games to qualify as a veteran.

Another King, Marian Cisar, drafted in the second round in 1996, had three goals and an assist in Slovakia’s 6-3 victory over the United States.
