Dayne Might Be Great for Bowl Game
Associated Press
Wisconsin running back Ron Dayne is “100% healthy for the first time this year,” according to Coach Barry Alvarez, as the team prepares for its New Year’s Day Outback Bowl meeting with Georgia in Tampa, Fla.
“He’s a special running back,” Alvarez said Friday. “He has qualities that many don’t have. His size is one that jumps out at you. He has tremendous speed and quickness for a guy that big.”
Despite an injury-marred season, the 5-foot-10, 262-pound Dayne gained 1,421 yards in 249 carries.
