Freshman Swillis Is Impressive

Freshman Shannon Swillis, a 6-foot-6 power forward, blocked three shots by the 49ers’ newly arrived 7-foot center, Andrew Betts.

Betts, a native of Ibstock, England, who transferred in this season from C.W. Post University in Long Island, was slow in getting off the ground.
