Perreault Looking to Shoot More

Center Yanic Perreault still leads the Kings with 17 goals, but he has scored only three over his last 17 games. “I just have to shoot and move my feet more,” said Perreault, who has played in all 37 games this season. “The last few games, I didn’t get many shots. I need to work on that.” Perreault says that the team’s recent two-day break over the Christmas holiday has helped. “Eighty-two games is a long season and it’s hard to be on top of your game every night,” he said. “Some nights you can work hard but it just doesn’t go.”

Goaltender Stephane Fiset, flu-ridden most of last week, is expected to start tonight against Vancouver. The last time he started against the Canucks, he was replaced in the second period after he gave up four goals in a 7-0 loss on Dec. 15th. . . . Left wing Matt Johnson is still listed as day-to-day because of a groin injury.
