The man, whom officials declined to describe, started his spree about 7:25 p.m. He robbed a gas station near Vineyard Avenue and Simon Way in the unincorporated part of the county, and two businesses in Ventura, including one at Wells Road and Citrus Drive. Further details were unavailable.
