More in Storr for Backup Goalie

Share

The Kings have made it clear that Stephane Fiset is their No. 1 goaltender, but don’t be surprised to see Jamie Storr get more starts than your average backup now that he’s injury-free.

“I don’t want [our] goaltenders going out there feeling like they’re being challenged [by each other, because] every night is a challenge,” Robinson said. “You have to have competition, but competition is very healthy. Not only in goaltending but every position on the ice.”

With back-to-back games tonight at Dallas and Thursday at Phoenix, and with their next five games against Western Conference opponents, the Kings will need both goaltenders.
