GOP Elects Lawyer as County Chairman

Brian Fox, a business and tax lawyer with practices in Ventura and Kern counties, has been elected chairman of Ventura County’s Republican Party.
Fox, 34, was elected unanimously, party officials said. He won support by encouraging various factions within the party to work together.
“I hope to continue the course plotted by previous chairs, and by the central committee,” Fox said. “We want to continue to raise money, and help a lot of candidates with elections.”
Party-building, which includes registering new voters and increasing goodwill for Republicans, is also a priority, Fox said.
“Party-building is hard work and no glory,” he said. “ But it’s very important to the process.”
