Elizabeth Heller Mandell; Arts Patron, Consultant for Nonprofits

Elizabeth Heller Mandell, 65, patron of the arts and consultant for nonprofit agencies. Born in San Francisco, Mandell was a fourth-generation Californian, the daughter of Edward and Elinor Heller, a UC regent, and the great-granddaughter of Wells Fargo Bank President Isaias Hellman. Mandell was the owner of Mandell Gallery in Los Angeles, which specializes in ceramic and handblown glass art. She earned a bachelor’s degree at Mills College and a master’s degree at Harvard University. As a principal in Lodestar Management/Research of Los Angeles, Mandell served as a consultant and trainer for database systems for government and nonprofit agencies. In her work with artistic groups, she also served on the boards of the California Junior Symphony, the Los Angeles Ballet, the Los Angeles Craft and Folk Art Museum and the private Putney and Crossroads schools. On June 16 in Brentwood.
