Rangers to Continue Patrolling Schools
Weekend patrols by city park rangers on school campuses have been so successful in reducing vandalism that they will be continued.
The City Council has approved an agreement with the Magnolia School District and the Anaheim Union High School District to continue ranger patrols of school grounds.
Officials say the city benefits by having additional park rangers in the field and more frequent patrols of city parks that are next to public schools.
The school districts will offset the city’s costs for the patrol of the school sites.
A total of 45 school facilities are now being patrolled by the rangers.
