Indecency Ruling
It is difficult to maintain respect for a Supreme Court that favors the freedom of people with prurient interests, who prostitute a wonderful self-growth instrument like the Internet with their indecent preoccupations, over the freedoms of decent parents and their children to travel the streets and byways of cyberspace without fear of being morally assaulted (June 27).
By definition, those justices are supposed to be wise. Oh? They have just seen to it that licentious types are free to spread their cybercrud in any direction they wish, while the wholesome folks and their kids are the ones who are on restriction, having to tiptoe through computer life to avoid stepping in it.
We’re really not on a human species improvement mission, are we? Morality is just another alternative form of entertainment, isn’t it?
