Gray Mornings, Clear Afternoons on Tap

Share

The soupy gray clouds and drizzle that covered much of Ventura County on Sunday morning are expected to return today, but burn off by the afternoon.

Meteorologists said that early morning fog and cloud cover should dissipate by noon and leave the county bathed in hazy sunshine with the mercury hovering in the mid- to upper 70s on the coast with highs reaching the low 80s inland.

The south swell that has given area surfers a bonanza of 2- to 4-foot surf is expected to decrease slightly today. However, another swell is expected as Hurricane Felicia continues to churn in the tropical Pacific off the coast of Baja.
