Net Rises 32% at Fidelity National

IRVINE — Fidelity National Financial Inc., a major provider of title insurance, reported a 32% increase in net earnings for the second quarter on a 4% revenue gain.
Net income rose to $9.1 million, or 63 cents a share, from $6.9 million, or 49 cents a share, for the second quarter of 1996. Revenue increased to $178.5 million from $171.6 million. Profit for the six-month period was $12.1 million, or 84 cents a share, compared to $12.1 million, put at 85 cents a share, for the first half of 1996. Revenue increased 11% to $331 million from $298 million.
