Religious Fair Will Celebrate Diversity
A religious diversity fair is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 15 at UC Irvine.
Speakers representing 13 faiths will present 38 workshops, including, “Is Death an End or a Beginning,” “Al-Akhira--the Afterlife According to Islam,” “Afterlife in the Dead Sea Scrolls: a Bridge” and “A Jewish Mystical View on Suffering, Prayer and Healing.”
Rabbi Allen Krause, event founder and spiritual leader at Temple Beth El in Aliso Viejo, said the event is designed to promote understanding among people of all religions.
The fourth annual event is being co-sponsored by the UCI Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity, the National Conference and the Alliance for Spiritual Community.
