Stumpel on Pace for Best Season

Share

With at least one point in 13 of the Kings’ 18 games, center Jozef Stumpel has been the team’s most consistent offensive player this season. Stumpel, who scored the Kings’ lone goal in a 4-1 loss to Montreal on Saturday, has seven points in his last six games. If he stays injury-free, he should pass the career-high 76 points he scored last season with the Boston Bruins.

Stumpel, who has seven goals and a team-high 20 points, is also on pace to score the highest point total for a King in four years. Wayne Gretzky led the NHL with 130 points in the 1993-94 season.

Yanic Perreault, who has a team-high nine goals, is on pace to give the Kings their highest goal scorer in four years. Perreault could reach the highest team total since Luc Robitaille scored 44 during the 1993-94 season.
