Wringing Success

When it’s time to mop up, get it right the first time.

O-Cedar has come up with a way to make the mop more efficient and easy to use. The wringing mechanism cuts the time it takes to squeeze out the water and requires less elbow grease.

The mop’s patented Click N’ Clean mechanism locks with every twist, which gets more dirty water out of the cloth end. This makes for a cleaner floor the first time, so there is no need to pre-clean and re-mop.

There is also a quick release button for one-handed unwinding.

“Consumers say they are tired of having to strong-arm a mop,” says Mike Paxton, O-Cedar CEO. “They were tired of recycling dirty water. The Click N’ Clean solves that problem.”

The mop, about $12, is available at Home Depot stores.

Audrey Hepburn and Jean Harlow, Cary Grant and Clark Gable.

Be it old movies or luxurious furnishings, there’s nothing like a classic to add drama and style to a room.

The Audrey chair, designed by Monique Savarese for Dialogica, is a fitting tribute to Hepburn. The chair’s long sleek back is reminiscent of the actress’ swan-like neck, the chair’s legs recall her solid yet delicate stature.

The Harlow chair (right) and My Darling bed gain their substance from sculpted legs and generous, rich-looking upholstery.

All of the furnishings (prices start around $525) are available in velvety jewel tones.

Today and Sunday, 10% of the stores’ proceeds will be donated to the Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

Dialogica is at 8304 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, (213) 951-1993.
