Police arrested one adult and two teenagers in connection with an armed robbery Friday night at a McDonald’s restaurant on Osborne Avenue, authorities said Saturday.

Kevin Cooper, 25, of Arleta, a 17-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of armed robbery, said Officer Mike Partain, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman.

Cooper was held at the LAPD’s Foothill Station in Pacoima, Partain said. The girl was sent to a juvenile detention center in Sylmar, and the boy was released to his parents.

At 8 p.m. Friday, three robbers entered the McDonald’s at 14024 Osborne Ave., brandished guns and jumped the counter, Partain said. The suspects forced employees to the rear of the store and locked them in a storage room.

The robbers stole an undetermined amount of cash and ran out of the store, Partain said.

About half an hour later, police officers detained Cooper and the teenagers because they appeared to match broadcast descriptions of the suspected robbers, Partain said.

Cooper and the youths were taken into custody after a witness to the incident told police they resembled the robbers, Partain said.

No weapons were recovered, Partain said, and no injuries to workers or customers were reported.
