Just (Have Somebody Else) Do It

We know you don’t really need this list. We know that you’re going to make a perfectly wonderful Thanksgiving dinner in your own home kitchen. We’ll even help: Sunday we’re printing our annual Thanksgiving Handbook to get you through the making of the meal, even if the only time you step into the kitchen during the rest of the year is to heat up your Wolfgang Puck frozen pizzas.

Still, in case you lose your nerve, know that this list is here. Just be sure to plan your anxiety attack ahead of time; many of the places on the list require advance ordering--and the earlier the better, most say, to ensure availability. Many of the birds do require a couple of hours in your oven before going on the table too.
