A Couple of Good Things Surrounding the Kings

In his Nov. 15 letter, Richard Adams was right on when he wrote of “how blessed we are in Southern California to have announcers such as Vin Scully and Chick Hearn.” It would be a crime, however, to omit Bob Miller from this list. His outstanding coverage of Kings hockey has exhibited the same high level of character, excitement and consistency.

Bill Plaschke, I speak for Dan Bylsma’s mother and his siblings when I thank you for your fine words about Dan [Nov. 11]. You have captured the essence of his character and you didn’t get that by scratching the surface or his back. They were fine words and we appreciate that someone else sees him as we do. We are, justifiably (we think) proud of his accomplishments but more so of his character. We love him and are proud of him and he fits well into this family.
