Gift Bag Project Will Spread Holiday Cheer

Share

The Alliance for the Mentally Ill of Orange County hopes to bring some holiday cheer to about 300 patients with its annual gift bag project.

Those patients are in clinics, hospitals or residential care.

“We rely heavily on donations,” office administrator Becky Johnson said. “And this year, we are especially in need of toiletries, coupons, inexpensive watches and radios.”

The organization also accepts monetary donations and is seeking additional volunteers to help pack and deliver gift bags.

“We always get the most incredible thank-you notes from recipients of the gift bags,” Johnson said.

The Alliance for the Mentally Ill of Orange County’s main mission is to provide support and education for families with mentally ill loved ones.

The organization is at 621 S. B St., Suite B, Tustin.
