Is Ryder Cup Fever in Spirit of Game?
I’ve been playing golf for more than 20 years, and much of what I enjoy about the game is that it is based on honor, integrity, sportsmanship and competitiveness, rather than who wins, arrogance, disrespect and trash talking. After watching the past few Ryder Cups, I must say that I am embarrassed from what I have heard from both sides of the Atlantic. Every two years, 12 superb golfers will win and 12 will lose. While I do pull for the USA, I care more about the game and less about the score. I only wish the world-class professionals did too.
