Last of Unincorporated Parcels May Be Annexed

By the end of the day, the last unincorporated areas within Yorba Linda may be history.
The City Council tonight will consider taking over the nine tiny residential parcels that remain under the county’s control.
The proposed annexation involves seven parcels on the west side of the city, collectively known as the West End, and several streets around the Yorba Linda Country Club.
Several council members, including John M. Gullixson, have pushed to annex the land because the city serves the neighborhoods without receiving any property tax revenue.
The council meets at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall, 4845 Casa Loma Ave. Information: (714) 961-7100.
