Motorcyclist Killed in Accident Identified
A 26-year-old man who died after losing control of the motorcycle he was riding was identified Tuesday as Robert J. Schultz of Tujunga, the Los Angeles County coroner’s office said.
The accident occurred at about 6:40 p.m. near Lowell Avenue and Day Street in Tujunga, authorities said.
According to police, Schultz was traveling at about 70 mph up a hill north on Lowell Avenue when the motorcycle hit the curb, causing him to lose control.
Despite wearing a helmet, Schultz died on arrival at Verdugo Hills Hospital in Glendale, said a coroner’s spokesman.
