Part of T-Shirt Sales Will Go to Charities

Share

In order to raise money for charity, the Newport Beach Fire Fighters Assn. teamed up with Hawaiian shirt-maker Reyn Spooner to design a special shirt to sell to Newport Beach residents.

The shirts, which are on sale through the end of October, are decorated with familiar scenes from Newport Beach such as the Newport Center towers, the Balboa Fire Station and a Newport Beach lifeguard truck.

The shirts are on sale from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays at Fire Station No. 2 near 32nd Street and Newport Boulevard, behind City Hall. They sell for $60 for adult sizes and $40 for children.

A portion of the proceeds will be split among several local charities.
