Hot Weather Will Make a Comeback
It’s time to break out the shorts again as warm weather returns to the San Fernando Valley this week.
Today, temperatures will be in the upper 80s to low 90s, as a ridge of low pressure moves toward the Midwest, making way for warmer temperatures. The heat will start to build through the rest of the week as the mercury is expected to climb into the mid-90s.
“An upper ridge of high pressure is moving into the area, causing warmer winds to blow down the mountains,” said John Sherwin, a meteorologist with WeatherData Inc., which provides forecast information to The Times.
Today’s high temperatures are expected to reach 87 in Burbank, 89 in Van Nuys and 90 in Woodland Hills.
