REGIONAL ASSEMBLY: The Pacific Southwest regional assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), which includes worship, entertainment, workshops and a children’s convention, will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Church of the Valley, 6565 Vesper Ave., Van Nuys. WALK AGAINST HUNGER: The San Fernando Valley Interfaith Council and Church World Service will sponsor the 20th annual Communities Reaching Out to People (CROP) Walk at 1 p.m. Sunday at St. Mark’s Presbyterian Church, 17251 Sherman Way, Van Nuys. Organizers expect 500 walkers will walk two to 10 kilometers for funds to benefit the Interfaith Council Meals-on-Wheels program and Church World Service, which provides relief to more than 70 countries. ENTERTAINMENT FELLOWSHIP: Emmy Award-winning actor Peggy McCay of “Days of Our Lives” will discuss her career and accomplishments at an Entertainment Fellowship dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Barone’s Italian restaurant, 10123 Riverside Drive, Toluca Lake. McCay has had five Emmy nominations and won the award in 1991 for her role as a homeless woman in “The Trials of Rose O’Neill.” The cost is $14 for Entertainment Fellowship members, $20 for nonmembers. MALE CHORUS BENEFIT: The Valley Male Chorus will present a benefit concert for Lutheran Social Services at 8 p.m. Friday at St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, 15950 Chatsworth St., Granada Hills. Conducted by William Thomas Jr., the Male Chorus has been performing since 1957 throughout Southern California, and by invitation in 1980 at the Eisteddfod International Festival in Langollan, Wales. Proceeds from the concert benefit the Lutheran Social Services homeless prevention and emergency assistance programs. A donation of $10 is requested. Information: (818) 901-9499.
