Fairmont High has hired Salvador Anaya to coach the school’s first boys’ soccer team, Athletic Director Bob Hubbard said.
Anaya was the head coach at Orange High in 1995-96 when the Panthers won the Century League title and the Southern Section Division II championship.

Strawberry Farms Golf Club, Orange County’s newest golf course, will open to the public Nov. 7, Doug DeCinces said Friday.
DeCinces, the former Angel third baseman, is managing partner of the development company that built the course set partly on former farmland in Irvine.
The course will start accepting reservations for tee times next Friday. Prices are $85 Monday through Thursday and $125 Friday through Sunday. For information, (714) 551-1811.
