2 Arrested in Drug Raid at Apartment
A man and a woman from Ventura were in Ventura County Jail on Wednesday awaiting arraignment on charges of drug possession for sale.
Christina Fraga, 34, of Ventura and Armand Saenz, 48, of Granada Hills were arrested Tuesday night after officers from the Oxnard, Ventura and Port Hueneme police departments searched an apartment near the intersection of Coronado and Main streets in Ventura, authorities said.
The search came after a three-week investigation and netted about $600 worth of methamphetamine and marijuana, authorities said.
Along with drug possession and drug sales charges, Fraga and Saenz face charges of child endangerment because Fraga’s 2-year-old child was in the apartment, authorities said. Also, because the apartment is near Ventura High School, the pair face additional charges of selling drugs within 1,000 feet of a school.
