Share

Residents will be able to tell the City Council today what they think about projects being considered by the Redevelopment Agency.

As required by state law, the agency’s officials will review projects in their five-year plan.

In the Tustin Street redevelopment area, the agency is working to expand the mall and has $700,000 available in grants for other commercial projects, according to a status report.

The southwest project area includes about 650 acres along Chapman Avenue and Main Street, an area officials are targeting for a new main library.

The agency’s northwest area covers 1,500 acres from Glassell Street to the Santa Ana River. Along with a traffic study, the agency has about $350,000 available for major rehabilitation of commercial properties.

The meeting begins at 4:30 p.m. at City Hall, 300 E. Chapman Ave.
