‘Dybbuk’ Opens 14th Israel Film Festival
The 14th Israel Film Festival commences Wednesday with the American premiere of Yossi Somer’s “The Dybbuk of the Holy Apple Field,” a mystical Romeo and Juliet love story, at 7:30 p.m. at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, 8949 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills.
The festival itself will take place at the Music Hall Theater, 9036 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, with several screenings held around the corner at the Writers Guild Theater, 135 S. Doheny Drive.
Presented by the IsraFest Foundation, the festival will celebrate 50 years of Israeli filmmaking and screen more than 50 new features, documentaries, TV movies and miniseries.
