Bar Assn. to Offer Free Legal Education Seminars
The Beverly Hills Bar Assn. will offer free legal education sessions to nonlawyers at two Westside locations, a bar association spokesman said.
The first session of the Citizens Law School will cover estate planning, real estate and landlord-tenant issues, health care and elder care, said attorney Chris Bradford.
The second session will focus on family law, bankruptcy and consumer rights, and traffic and criminal matters.
The 8-year-old program aims to better inform the public about legal issues that affect them.
The program will be held at Butterfield & Butterfield auction house Sept. 6 and Oct. 25 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and at the Santa Monica Courthouse on Sept. 15 and Oct. 6 from 6 to 9:30 p.m.
Butterfield & Butterfield is at 7601 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles. The Santa Monica Courthouse is at 1725 Main St., Santa Monica.
