Police Will Host Sunday Car Show

Share

Free hot dogs, cool cars and live music may be just the ticket for police to meet and mingle with children and their families in a positive setting.

That’s the idea behind the city’s first Cops for Kids Custom Car Show, which will be Sunday at the Santa Ana Stadium (Eddie West Field).

The event will include more than 100 custom cars and bikes, two bike shows and door prizes.

Officers will be available to answer questions and talk to families about the cars, and offer free refreshments to children, Sgt. Bob Clark said.

“We hope to show local youngsters that the cops care about the kids,” he said.

Parking is available for $1 in the structure next to the stadium at 602 N. Flower St.

Admission is free for the event, which will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
