One thing the Bruins worked on in practice Tuesday was adapting to a sudden change from offense to defense. They gave up two touchdowns Saturday to Washington State in sudden-change situations, one after a fumble and the other after a blocked punt, both drives starting deep inside UCLA territory.

“We’re angry,” Coach Bob Toledo said, adding that he had mixed feelings on the results of Tuesday’s effort.

“I’m happy with the offense. They scored,” Toledo said. “I’m upset with the defense. The offense scored.”
