Santa Ana Fire Injures 2, Destroys 4 Apartments; Cause Unknown
SANTA ANA — Two people were injured in a fire that destroyed four apartments in Santa Ana on Wednesday night.
Firefighters arriving at the Redwoods apartments at 1010 N. Cabrillo Park Drive at 8:30 p.m. found four units engulfed in flames, Fire Department spokesman Jeff Talmage said. The residents already were outside, he said.
The fire was extinguished in about an hour.
One person suffered an arm injury and another suffered smoke inhalation. Both were taken to Western Medical Center-Santa Ana, Talmage said.
The fire also damaged two apartments behind the four that were gutted.
Neither the cause of the fire nor an estimate of damage was immediately known.
