School to Celebrate New Science Center
Saint Margaret’s Episcopal School today will celebrate the opening of its Library, Science and Technology Center.
Students, parents and faculty will participate in the 1:30 p.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony. Dignitaries, including Right Rev. Frederick H. Borsch, Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, St. Margaret’s Headmaster Mark Campaigne and San Juan Capistrano Mayor David M. Swerdlin, also are expected.
The 16,000-square-foot building will have two libraries, three state-of-the-art science labs, an information technology lab and library resource classrooms. It will serve 950 students in all grades.
The center also includes 100 computer workstations and a multimedia conference room, as well as the admissions, library and other school offices. The $3-million building was funded through a fund-raising campaign.
