Techniclone Loss Rises

Techniclone Corp., a cancer therapeutics company, reported a net loss of $2.3 million, or 8 cents a share, for the first fiscal quarter ended July 31, compared with a net loss of $948,264, or 5 cents a share, for the like period last year. No revenue was reported.

The company said the higher loss reflected additional costs associated with the expansion of facilities and public relations activities and the hiring of senior management and staff members.
