Wheel of Fortune 2000, a children’s version of the long-running game show, debuts on CBS (Saturday at 8:30 a.m.) with host David Sidoni and his animated cyber-hostess, Cyber Lucy, who moves around the studio on video walls and interacts with contestants. Young contestants do all kinds of stunts to earn letters to solve word puzzles. For ages 7 to 11.

To be close to a boy she likes, Pepper Ann auditions for Juliet in the drama club’s production of “Romeo and Juliet,” on the new animated series Pepper Ann (ABC, Saturday at 8:30 a.m). Instead, she lands the part of the nurse and must wear a padded suit. For ages 6 to 12.

Based on the magazine, the Sports Illustrated For Kids Show premieres on CBS (Saturday at 9 a.m.) with hosts Rebecca Budig and Eugene Byrd. Each week they are joined by famous sports personalities to encourage learning and positive values. For ages 7 to 11.

The Disney Channel will began carrying “The Muppets Tonight” (Saturday and Sunday at 6:30 p.m.), including 12 never-before-aired episodes. Guest stars include Pierce Brosnan and the artist formerly known as Prince,; Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and Gonzo the Great are featured. For ages 2 to 7.
