Floral Tributes in L.A. Bound for Sea
The hundreds of bouquets of flowers left in tribute to Princess Diana outside the British Consulate in Los Angeles will be tossed into the Pacific Ocean today, a Cabrillo Harbor boat captain said.
About “20 big plastic bags” of flowers will be cast into the sea, said John Pittman of Vessel Assist Cabrillo. He said consular officials called him Sunday to ask if his company would take part.
Only flowers and other organic material--no plastic--will be dropped into the water.
