TeleProcessing Names Regional Sales Chief

TeleProcessing Products, a Simi Valley-based provider of wide-area network access products, has added Brian McConnell to the company’s management team as director of sales and operations for the U.S. western region.

In his new position, McConnell will be responsible for building the company’s western region sales and engineering team as well as for all sales and operations in the western United States.

He will be based in the company’s Walnut Creek office and will report to James B. Schultz, TeleProcessing’s vice president of worldwide sales.

McConnell most recently was director of international sales for Ariel Corp., where he established that company’s European sales organization and Asian distribution channels. Prior to Ariel, he held senior sales positions at Spectron, Ampro Computers and Racor Computer Products.

McConnell, who has a bachelor’s degree in business from Michigan State, played professional football with the Miami Dolphins, Houston Oilers and Buffalo Bills.

TeleProcessing designs and manufactures network access products for telecommunications service providers. The privately held company’s corporate offices and manufacturing facilities are in Simi Valley.
