The Cal State Northridge football team, which lost to Hawaii, 34-21, on Saturday, returned home with several injured players.

Linebacker Franck Pace suffered torn ligaments in his left knee and is expected to undergo season-ending surgery, and cornerback Tayari Ferrell was scheduled to have a magnetic resonance imaging test Monday on his left knee.

Freshman cornerback Jeremy Golden, who returned an interception 65 yards for a touchdown, hurt a shoulder and is day to day. Safeties Vito Clemente (knee) and Howard Henry (shoulder) did not play.

Honors: Northridge quarterback Aaron Flowers, who passed for 442 yards and a school-record six touchdowns in a 63-23 victory over Boise State on Aug. 30, has been selected the Big Sky Conference offensive player of the week.

Because only three Big Sky teams played on Aug. 30, conference teams were allowed to nominate players based on their openers, some of which were played Saturday.
