Council Honors Clerk With Service Award
The City Council has honored acting City Clerk Jane Irvin with a service award for 10 months in a position she had planned to fill for about two months.
Irvin was lauded by council members Tuesday for her dedication and service. She will return to her job as deputy city clerk, her previous position. She did not apply for the permanent position.
Susan Lynn, an eight-year city employee, was appointed clerk Aug. 19 and started Aug. 25. She previously was Fountain Valley’s environmental programs manager, overseeing recycling programs and other services in the Public Works Department.
