Ingram Names Pensel a Senior VP

* Edward F. Pensel has been appointed senior vice president, global configuration operations for Ingram Micro Inc., a Santa Ana wholesale distributor of technology products and services. He previously spent seven years at Data General Corp. in Westborough, Mass., most recently as vice president, worldwide manufacturing operations.

* Anie Chinarian has been named vice president of human resources and administration for Caliber Collision Centers in Irvine. Chinarian previously served as assistant vice president of human resources for Hyatt Hotels Corp.

* Franz Wisner has been named vice president, government relations for the Irvine Co. He was senior director of corporate communications. Succeeding him in that position is Paul Kranhold, who was director of marketing and communications for the California Trade and Commerce Agency and a press secretary to Gov. Pete Wilson.

* Charlene Richter has been appointed vice president of business development for Pacific Biometrics Inc. in Irvine, responsible for the laboratory service business. Prior to joining the company, Richter was director of business development for BioPharm Clinical Services. She will be working in Philadelphia, where Pacific Biometrics is opening a new office.

* Shirlene Lopez has been named vice president of corporate development and design for Del Taco Inc. in Laguna Hills. In the newly created position, she will be responsible for the design and image development of existing and new prototype building designs, remodeling efforts and capital budget for company and franchise restaurants. Lopez had been director of corporate development.

* Jerry Baird has been named president of Prosoft I-Net Solutions Inc., a Santa Ana Internet and intranet training company. He will remain chief operating officer. Baird succeeds Don Danks, who was named vice president of corporate communications and will continue as a director. Danks was one of the co-founders of Prosoft and assumed the role of president during its developmental stages. The company said Danks led the executive search for a new president. Baird, former chief information officer of IBM’s consumer division, joined Prosoft in June. In addition, Earnest Picott was appointed vice president of sales for the Western region. He had been Southwest area sales manager.

* Timothy M. Ciaccio has joined National Telephone & Communications Inc. in Irvine as vice president of information technology. He was previously vice president of information technology for NextWave Telecom Inc. and vice president and chief information officer for LA Cellular.

* Steven H. Weinberg has been named to the newly created position of executive vice president of Millennium Electronics Inc. in Laguna Beach, with responsibility for sales, marketing, operations and strategic planning. Prior to joining Millennium, Weinberg was vice president of sales for Kingston Technology, a manufacturer of computer memory module products.

* John L. Olson has been appointed vice president of finance and administration for Select Office Solutions in Fountain Valley. Olson most recently served as a financial consultant, Before that, he was vice president of finance and administration for United Education Institute in Santa Ana, Cardis Corp. in Buena Park, Tylan Corp. in Torrance and the Republic Corp. in Los Angeles.

* John Lindseth has been selected vice president, Nutrilite operations for Amway Corp. He is responsible for operations at Amway’s Nutrilite facilities in Buena Park, Lakeview and Calipatria, and two farming operations in Mexico and Brazil. Lindseth was previously director of Nutrilite operations.

* Kanita Nandhavan has been named loan administration officer for Marine National Bank’s Real Estate Industries Group in Newport Beach. She was previously a loan administrator for the real estate department of Societe Generale in Century City.

* Grant B. Hieshima has joined the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation board of directors in Orange. He is medical director of the St. Joseph Hospital NeuroScience Institute.

* William Kauble has been appointed national director of customer service and quality assurance for Auto-By-Tel Corp. in Irvine. He was formerly chief operating officer of Majestic Industries, and before that was president of Bryant Rubber Corp.

* Allen D. Meadows has joined Fidelity National Financial Inc., an Irvine title insurance underwriter, as executive vice president and chief financial officer. He joined the company from Great Western Financial where he was responsible for the overall direction of corporate development, strategic planning and specialized corporate finance activities. Meadows succeeds Carl A. Strunk, who was appointed executive vice president of finance.

* Sandy Koop has been named director of operations for Lages & Associates Inc., an Irvine public relations and marketing communications agency. Before joining the company six years ago, she was marketing communications manager for Pick Systems and trade show coordinator for AST Research.
