El Camino Real High School Mentor Program is seeking volunteers to mentor ninth-grade students. Volunteers and students are expected to meet at least once a week from 12:25 to 1:05 p.m. at the high school, 5440 Valley Circle Blvd., Woodland Hills. Jewish Big Brothers/Camp Max Straus is seeking adult volunteers for its Sports Buddies program. The Glendale-based mentoring program matches volunteers with elementary school-age children of all ethnic and religious backgrounds for noncompetitive sports and activities. The American Cancer Society is seeking volunteers to drive patients to and from their cancer treatments throughout the Los Angeles area. Drivers must have a license and access to a car. Volunteer drivers provide an estimated 25,000 free trips a year to cancer patients undergoing treatment at 40 medical facilities in Greater Los Angeles. Call (213) 386-7660.
