Friends of the Family, a family counseling and education center in Van Nuys, is looking for former teen parents to volunteer as parent group facilitators with the Young Moms and Young Dads Program. TreePeople and the L.A. Conservation Corps are seeking volunteers to help plant 30 California pepper trees along Sheldon Street between Roscoe Boulevard and Arleta Avenue in Sun Valley.
