The Book They Want Harriet Doerr to Write

Bravas to Susan Salter Reynolds for an article superbly and penetratingly written--and to her subject (“Harriet Doerr’s Incredible Journey,” Feb. 8). We treasure the indomitable Doerr’s life of simple honesty, coupled with her joyous remembrance of the small things that make life worthwhile.

And a lusty bravo to photographer Anacleto Rapping for the picture, incredibly haunting in concept and execution, of Doerr in her “garden of memories,” a photograph that surely must be submitted for whatever awards are available.
