Mourer to Lead Families Group

USC administrator Glenda Mourer has been chosen to lead Families and Communities Together of Orange County, an agency that serves residents in need.

Mourer serves as assistant dean at the Orange County campus of the USC School of Social Work in Irvine.

At the Santa Ana-based families organization, she will be the steering committee and leadership council chairwoman for 1998. Her duties include serving as agency spokeswoman, shaping policy and ensuring that services go to needy residents.

“I believe in the values of FACT, and I am dedicated to working with families and children,” she said. “I see this as an opportunity to have a voice and to take an active part in the development and implementation of policies that directly affect families.”

Mourer also is a member of the board of directors for the Orange County Child Abuse Prevention Council.
