Cable’s Comedy Central network is expected to announce today that Jon Stewart will replace Craig Kilborn as host of its late-night series “The Daily Show” beginning in January. Signing Stewart means Comedy Central will probably be willing to release Kilborn from his contract before it expires next August, freeing him to supplant Tom Snyder as host of CBS’ “Late Late Show.”
