Phillies Make Minor League Changes

The Philadelphia Phillies named Dallas Green interim farm director and Lee Elia director of minor league instruction in a major overhaul of the team’s farm system.
Del Unser, the team’s farm director since 1989, was fired and offered a position in the organization as a scout.
General Manager Ed Wade said Green will run the club’s player development system until the team finds a long-term replacement for Unser.
