Fire Guts Restaurant
Fire ripped through the Red Barn restaurant on North San Gabriel Boulevard on Thursday, causing $250,000 in damage, authorities said.
It took firefighters from Pasadena and Glendale 45 minutes to knock down the blaze that erupted shortly before 6 a.m.
“The whole roof caved in,” said Nina Scotti, a Pasadena Fire Department investigator. “The upper part of the structure is gone. There is little more than a few rooms left.”
Scotti said it appeared that the fire was accidental and that a preliminary investigation has ruled out arson.
