Driver Sought in Fatal Hit-and-Run
Police were searching Friday for the driver who was behind the wheel of a sport utility vehicle involved in a hit-and-run accident that killed a Pasadena man.
The victim, Amalia Torres, was crossing Orange Grove Boulevard between Worcester and Garfield avenues about 10:35 p.m. last Saturday when the vehicle struck him, sending Torres flying onto its front and killing him, witnesses told police.
The small blue or gray vehicle was damaged by the impact and may have a broken headlight and a damaged windshield, police said.
The vehicle, similar to a Chevrolet Blazer, did not stop, witnesses told authorities.
Anyone with information is asked to call Officer Bob Dollar or Sgt. George Wiley at (626) 744-4590.
