Knott’s Farm in Search of Spooky Helpers

Share

Wanted: many monsters.

Knott’s Berry Farm will hire 1,200 extras for this year’s Knott’s Scary Farm, the Halloween-themed event that is actually spread out over 16 nights. There’s even a Monster Job Fair scheduled for 3 to 9 p.m. Sept. 9 at the Buena Park theme park (traditional job seekers can attend a general job fair three days later).

The 1,200 live monsters represent a 20% increase over last year’s numbers. Park officials say that in addition, Scary Farm guests can expect Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, to return in a production in the Ghoul Time Theatre. Additional attractions include 10 walk-through mazes and re-themed rides, and six other live shows.

The financial bite to attend Knott’s Scary Farm is $34 in advance and $39 at the gate, except for Freak Preview Nights Oct. 2 and 3, when the price is $26.
